Our story

2015
Inspired by Emmet County's program, community members win a $92,000 grant to build a cardboard recycling site and bring recycling education into schools. The CCRI is born.
'17
Working with Houghton and Hancock, we help establish single-stream curbside recycling through Waste Management.
2020
A survey of township residents shows 70.5% want to recycle and would help fund it.
2021
In response, Houghton County adds single-stream drop-off recycling at the County Transfer Station.
